Course Prerequisites:
Participants must be clean shaven to be assessed as competent. Participants can participate in the training but where facial hair obstructs achieving a clean seal a Certificate of Attendance will be issued instead of a Statement of Attainment
Medically fit and able to wear full face mask
Basic English
Must be 18 years of age or over

All students will need a Unique Student Identifier (USI) to receive their certificates and or cards.
The Construction Industry Training Centre Incorporated (CITC) was established in 1994 as a not-for-profit Registered Training Organisation (RTO Code 0647) to fill an educational training gap that then existed by providing upskilling of the traditional trades and non-trades employees in industry and those wishing to be engaged in industry.
Our vision is to contribute to the positive cultural change in society through appropriate training of workers. Our intent is to maintain a high quality training provision and cost effectiveness that is tailored to meet clients’ specific needs and regulatory requirements.
We provide high quality training for many industries including: Construction, Mining, Entertainment, Automotive, Manufacturing, Maritime, Transport, Wine and the Defence Forces throughout South Australia.
With 10 full-time staff and over 25 trainers available, we specialise in areas as diverse as High Risk Work Licensing, Asbestos, Confined Space, Work Health and Safety (White Card to Certificate IV in WH&S), Plant Operation, Working at Heights, Workzone Traffic Management, 4WD training and many more. Training is delivered on clients’ sites or at our purpose built training centre in Regency Park which has 20 training rooms, a serviced canteen and with 7,500m2 under the main roof is considered one of the best training centres for our scope in Australia.
Our clients and participants come from a broad cross section of the community, whether they be corporate, sole traders, wage and salary earners, self-employed, unemployed and school leavers.

This course set is designed for new and experienced personnel required to work in confined spaces and carry out gas testing of an atmosphere prior to entering a specific area or workspace in the resources and infrastructure industries at an operational level
The unit of competency MSMWHS217 Gas test atmospheres as a standalone unit. The target participants for this course delivery are those working in industry and may have some knowledge of atmosphere gas testing but do not hold the unit of competency MSMWHS217 Gas test atmospheres.
This course is aimed at workers who in their fields of work may be potentially exposed to asbestos or asbestos containing material. The course is designed to give participants the knowledge to identify and report asbestos containing materials.
The course is aimed at all workers carrying out construction work, including: self-employed persons, laborer’s, apprentices, trades-persons, supervisors and project managers.
