This nationally recognised OHSA Operate Breathing Apparatus Training Course is available at our training centres in Brisbane and the Gold Coast and is designed for people who work in or around confined space areas, with hazardous gases/vapours, in an oxygen deficient atmosphere, or in other situations, requiring the wearing of breathing apparatus.
We are able to conduct on-site training with either our purpose built mobile training facility, or at your own workplace and tailor the training course to suit the practical scenarios relevant to your company’s operations. While there is a standard set of learning outcomes for the course, we understand that the context and environment in which the learning is applied is varied.

OHSA was founded by our current Managing Director, Mr. Simon Phillips and his amazing wife Tracey. Simon grew up in the Victorian Mallee on a sheep and wheat farm (near a small country town called Patchewollock).
When he headed off to the big smoke (Melbourne) at 17 to pursue a professional AFL football career with Carlton (although he is a Kangaroos and now also a Broncos & Cowboys supporter).
However he wasn’t very good (he will tell you otherwise though) so he stuck at his University studies (in Melbourne and then Adelaide) and completed an Allied Health Degree and worked in healthcare institutions.
This course includes training for working at heights safely while understanding the associated hazards and appropriate risk management controls.
This course is designed for new and experienced personnel required to work in confined spaces and wear breathing apparatus in the resources and infrastructure industries at an operational level.
This course provides participants with the skills and knowledge to safely use hand and power tools in a wide range of occupations. It involves planning and preparing for work, selecting and using hand and power tools and cleaning up of work area.
This course is aimed at workers who in their fields of work may be potentially exposed to asbestos or asbestos containing material. The course is designed to give participants the knowledge to identify and report asbestos containing materials.
