The Aerial Work Platforms and Lifts Certification Program will provide a general understanding of the safe and efficient operation of “Power Operated Mobile Work Platforms.” Participants will be able to identify specific health and safety hazards associated with operating man lifts and booms.
The Aerial Work Platform (AWP) Training Program for scissor lifts, booms and man lifts consists of two segments:
Phase One consists of an in-class theoretical course that includes a competency evaluation and review.
Phase Two consists of an on-site evaluation which will verify the individual’s ability to operate a specific lift, in a safe manner.
Phase One: Theory:

Phase Two: Practical Evaluation:
All operators must successfully complete the theoretical portion of this Program prior to being evaluated for on-site specific equipment.
Each individual will be tested to ensure they can safely and efficiently operate any site specific equipment. Evaluations will be completed during regular working shifts, wherever possible.
