Instructors emphasize a practical approach to worksite health and safety, as such, attendees learn to recognize site hazards and take appropriate steps to prevent illness or injuries while on the job-site.
The 40-Hour initial training is for site workers who have responsibilities to remediate (clean-up) hazardous materials at controlled and un-controlled hazardous sites with hazards or work activities that present some potential for exposure to health and safety hazards.
The major emphasis of the class is to provide participants with the ability to evaluate site conditions, recognize situations which may or may not be within their abilities, and to evaluate conditions where assistance is required.
