About Us

In 1995, Guelph was lacking a business whose sole purpose was to provide safety to the people of Guelph and surrounding area so Kevin Gortmaker, his father Karl and sister Loretta embarked on a journey and created Probuy Safety Solutions.

Probuy became one of the first online e-commerce safety companies in the late 1990's.  They were overwhelmed when frantic Americans called wanting to protect themselves and their families from biological warfare following the tragic events of 9/11. 

Soon after the dust from 9/11 settled, calls again came pouring in due to the fear from SARS.  Here they are again keeping people safe from the latest threat of Covid-19.  They are passionate about keeping their customers safe on the job and at home. With their motto being “Safety is all we do” they now carry or have access to thousands of safety products.
