This is a three-day course and is aimed at those who are first aiders in a workplace or anyone wanting to gain knowledge and practical skills of advanced first aid to deal with first aid emergencies. It is certificated for three years.
Identify the roles and responsibilities of a first aider and appointed person, how to minimise the risk of infection to self and others and the need for consent to provide first aid
Over a 3 day period, delegates will develop the skills and knowledge needed to deal with a range of first aid situations, including: assessing an incident, managing an unresponsive casualty, CPR, heart attacks, choking, head and spinal injuries, fractures, anaphylaxis and more.
The Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 require all employers to make arrangements to ensure their employees receive immediate attention if they are injured or taken ill at work.
The course will equip you with the skills of becoming an efficient first-aider. You will explore the aim and objectives of the first aid, health and safety regulation, emergency safety kit for home, office or car, different emergency scenarios and their relevant actions, and more.
