This course will follow a structured programme covering approaches to abstract painting: materials & techniques, colour mixing, relationships & optical effects and abstracting from places, spaces, journeys & memories. Returners will develop personal projects with support from the tutor.

This course is the ideal opportunity to explore traditional and modern approaches to painting in watercolour, gouache, acrylic, ink and oil or water-mixable oil paint. You’ll have lots of opportunities to experiment with a range of techniques using each of these mediums.
