This short intensive course is ideal for those of you who want to gain some basic introductory Painting & Decorating skills. Those who complete the course will be provided with an Able Skills certificate, assured by City & Guilds. This course is ideal for individuals who want to gain an insight into Painting & Decorating, maybe with a view to progressing further and achieving qualifications.

This 5 day painting & decorating course has been recognised by City & Guilds as a comprehensive introduction to painting & decorating so upon successful completion of this course you will receive an Able Skills certificate assured by City & Guilds to confirm the skills that you will have learned.

 

This course covers a variety of tasks and you will learn how to:

  • Prepare areas before painting including repairing imperfections
  • Apply water and oil based products using brushes and rollers
  • Learn how to cut around obstructions, openings and fittings and
  • Learn how to properly cut, paste and hang wallpaper.

 

In addition, we will cover aspects of working safely as well as explain and demonstrate the required tools of the trade and give plenty of ‘painters tips’ along the way.

If you have some tasks at home to tackle, this course will definitely give you the skills and confidence to make a start.
