Patchwork Society is going to explore the rainbow. Over the course of 10 months, we will take one of the five primary colors of the rainbow and explore it in detail, looking at things like how to use it as a focal color, as a background color, what color it plays well with, how to assess the fabrics you have to make the most of your stash, as well as tips for avoiding issues that arise from using that color.
We will alternate our meetings between a class covering a deep dive of each color and a more informal Q&A session with a chance to ask questions and share progress.
Each class will include instructions for making an 8 inch block using different techniques. This will allow you to explore the color using your stash. There will be a way to make the blocks traditionally or using improv fabric you have pieced together. The blocks will all come together at the end of the year to make a quilt.
This annual club membership provides community, quilt design inspiration, and loads of quilting tips and techniques all year long. Each meeting will be hosted via Zoom and we will meet once a month from Feb-Nov 2021. Get excited for giveaways, monthly member discounts, show & tell, and a truly wonderful quilting community online!
As an annual member, you’ll have access to the Patchwork Society Hub, which has loads of tutorials, project instructions, and recorded club meetings from Patchwork Society years past. Can’t make a meeting? We’ve got you covered! Every meeting is recorded and will be available for viewing on your own time after the meeting date.
