Gain expertise in fastening, pocket, facing, and waistband techniques to enhance your garment construction skills.
All necessary equipment will be provided, and calico will be available for your practice samples. However, you will need to purchase your own fabric and trimmings for the garments you create.
The course will consist of a series of demonstrations to introduce you to various pattern cutting and sewing techniques. You will receive one-on-one guidance from your tutor, who will support you in constructing your designs, fitting garments, and making necessary alterations to your patterns.

This workshop is suitable for those who have used a sewing machine before, can confidently thread the machine and bobbin and have sewn several projects before. If you need a beginners class or a refresher then have a look at beginners classes available.
Another opportunity to learn how to maintain your sewing machine. Many of you know Tom, our lovely Service Engineer who looks after and services all makes of sewing machines and overlockers. Today Tom is with us for a short workshop taking you through basic maintenance of your machine.
Join Naomi for a bonding daytime sewing class as both you and your preschool child learn to sew a simple first garment or repair a current item of clothing together. A morning full of skills learning and a lot of laughter!
