This hands-on beginner class will introduce you to the world of Pattern Making. You will learn the techniques of a pro. Including how to correctly take measurements, tips and tricks for using different paper pattern making tools, and how to create a basic skirt block.

In this class, you will make your own skirt sloper, by cutting out and sewing up your very own skirt sloper. After the skirt is made, the instructor will do the fitting individually. You will then make adjustments by pinning it onto the body and transfer those changes/refinements back to the pattern. By the end of the workshop you would have a well-fitted skirt ‘block’ that can be played with and changed to make many different skirt designs. Even though wearing a skirt may not your thing, it is the easiest way to learn all the fundamentals of Pattern Making.

We will provide everything. It includes the Sewing Machine, Muslin, Zipper and all other necessary tooling. You are welcome to bring you own sewing machine. This class is designed for students who already took Introduction to the Home Sewing Machine.
