This qualification is for those who want to work with children in Early Years settings. It gives you the opportunity to demonstrate competence as an Early Years Educator, Childminder or Nursery Nurse, develop knowledge and skills related to the specified job roles in early years education and achieve a nationally-recognised Level 3 qualification.
You will study a range of units and topics such as Plan and Provide Effective Teaching and Learning in Early Years Settings, Understanding How to Promote Play, Diversity, Equality and Inclusion and Partnership Working in Early Years.

The course is an introduction to teaching that will give an insight into the roles, responsibilities and relationships in education and training, how to plan and deliver inclusive teaching sessions and how to assess and give constructive feedback.Â
Basil Paterson’s CELTA course is designed to give new English language teachers the skills and knowledge they need to step into the classroom with confidence. The course consists of 120 hours contact time with over 80 hours individual learning and six hours assessed teaching practice.
