Description

This Nationally Accredited Low Voltage Rescue course is designed to provide participants with the  knowledge & skills to: Rescue someone from a Low Voltage Switchboard & Provide CPR on an Unconscious Casualty.

Upon satisfactory completion of the training, Participants will be issued with a Statement of Attainment which is Nationally Recognised within the Australian Qualifications Framework and issued under authority of the National Vocational Education and Regulator Act 2011.

 

 Course Topics 

  • Assess the Incident Scene
  • Conduct a Primary Assessment
  • Rescue Principles
  • Conduct DRSABCD
  • Provide CPR
  • Maintain and use Safety/Rescue Equipment
  • Management of Injuries 
  • Electrical Safety Information
  • Low Voltage Rescue Requirements ( using a low voltage rescue kit)
  • Roll Patient into Recovery Position
  • Handover to Medical Personnel

 

Participants will need to bring

  • Hi Vis Shirt or Vest, Steel Cap Boots
  • Please bring your own lunch

  Tea & Coffee facilities are available

 

Prerequisites

  • (USI) Number-Unique Student Identification. 
  • Be a minimum of 18 years of age
  • Photo proof of ID (drivers licence/Passport)
  • Have the necessary levels of health and fitness to safely Perform Low Voltage Rescue
  • Have basic numeracy skills
  • Demonstrate ability to speak and write English to a basic level
