Perform Rigger And Signalman Tasks

As part of the lifting team, rigger and signalman are the hands and the eyes of the crane operators. The competencies in the work that they do can make or break a lifting operation. This 2 day WSQ-Performing Rigger and Signalman Task course is designed to ensure that rigger and signalman are up to the task.

Standard hand and voice signals are complemented by various rigging techniques using different types of slings and loads. This course is mandatory for those taking up the role of riggers and signalman. This course is conducted in English, Mandarin, Tamil and Bahasa Indonesia.

Assumed Skills & Knowledge:

Learners must be above 18 years of age and are assumed to:

• Have a basic knowledge of the relevant sector of work
• Be able to listen and speak English at a proficiency level equivalent to the
• Employability Skills (ES) level 2 (Applies to English Courses ONLY)
• Be able to read and write English at a proficiency level equivalent to ES level 2 (Applies to English Courses ONLY)
• Be able to manipulate numbers at a proficiency level equivalent to ES level 2; and 
• Be medically fit
