This programme is designed to provide graduates with the skills and knowledge required to carry out pest control or pest monitoring in a rural or urban environment.

This programme is targeted at individuals who have recently begun working in the pest operations industry or who wish to enter the pest operations industry.
The programme has strands in either rural, or in and/or around built urban environments and students can choose the strand option they wish to study upon enrolment.
Land Based Training Limited (LBT) was incorporated on the 9th day of December 1996 and is registered as a Private Training Establishment by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA) under the provisions of the Education Act 1989 and its subsequent amendments.
This course will enable you to recognise the different types of pests commonly found in food production, and how to prevent infestation. Common food pests cause damage to food facilities, damage products and are a food safety hazard.
