This two-year course will help you to develop your teaching skills, reflect on current ideas about education and training and creatively explore the professional opportunities open to you.

Much of the course is focused on practical teaching. You will gain experience of learning and teaching alongside other teachers and trainers, with support from your tutors.

Entry Requirements

You must:

  • Have a minimum of a UK Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent

  • Be able to demonstrate appropriate work experience in the area you wish to teach

  • Be prepared to undertake a placement to gain a minimum of 250 hours at a recognised training or education establishment. Voluntary teaching/training may be acceptable (please ask for more details)

  • Maths and English at Level 2. Be able to communicate in standard spoken and written English

  • In addition, you must also:

  • Complete a satisfactory interview Undertake an

  • Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check

  • Provide two satisfactory references
