The purpose of this course is to expand your comfort zone and broaden your knowledge of Adobe Photoshop tools available. By the end of this course, you will be confident in your own ability to create original content in Photoshop that can be used to inspire students.
You will learn to work with many of the selection tools in Photoshop to isolate parts of images for adjustment or editing. You will learn how to use layers, and how to apply gradients, styles and effects to layers.
This course starts with an overview of the workspace and tools, and moves onto project planning and workflow, basic photo correction, photo retouching and restoration, working with layers and masking techniques and channels.
Planning and taking the shot is only half the story. In order to communicate your vision—the reason why you took the shot—it is important to have a thorough understanding of the tools available in the digital Darkroom.
Intro to post production students will learn basic color correction techniques in Adobe Camera Raw, and become more familiar with the different editing functions.
