Pointe is the only subsection of ballet that is not included in the Recreational Ballet classes. It requires its own course of strength and balance training and can be quite strenuous on the foot and ankle.

Besides the prospect of dancing on pointe, this class is a great opportunity to strengthen the knees and ankles, activate the core, and improve body alignment. This makes it a great complement to the ballet class, or a fantastic wellness class on its own.
Dance Alive Studios was created in the summer of 2017 to meet the changing needs of adult dancers in the Saskatoon community. Caelia Gardiner, the owner and Artistic Director of DAS, developed the adult dance program at Juliette’s Dance Centre from 2011 to 2017.
This program has become unique in the field – it provides aspiring adult dancers with progressive levels of focused training at their desired level. Recreational dance is the common stream, but more intense training opportunities are available upon request (group and solo competition, examination, teacher training, etc.).
This class focuses on the development of the legs and feet through use of therabands and other specialized training exercises.
Pointe classes are available by selection only. Students must be 11 years of age and have extensive training in the ballet program prior to beginning Pointe. All participants will be at the discretion of the Ballet Director.
This maximizes personalized attention and quality instruction. All classes are once a week, with the exception of Christmas and March Break. We are open on all holiday Mondays except for Family Day.
Inspired From Ballet And Exercises At The Barre, This Class Will Allow You To Work Your Active Flexibility And Tone Your Overall Muscles, As Well As Improve Your Posture And Alignment.
En pointe means "on the tip" and is a part of classical ballet technique. Pointe developed from the desire for dancers to appear weightless and has evolved to enable dancers to dance on the tips of their toes for extended periods of time.
