Our Ballet classes are available for students ages 5-18 and are composed of the CDTA (Canadian Dance Teachers Association) syllabus.
Our program allows students to study the time-honoured art of classical ballet. Emphasis is placed on precise technique, correct body alignment and grace of movement. Students will also gain a clear understanding of theory and terminology.
An excellent foundation for any student. This dance style follows the technique of the Royal Academy of Dance and is the basis for all dance forms. Martin School of Dance follows both the Graded Syllabus and for the more serious student, the Vocational Graded Syllabus of the RAD.
Cecchetti Method Exam classes are offered as well. Students should wear a bodysuit (any colour and style) pink or white rights and pink ballet slippers. Ballet skirts and shorts are optional. Hair should be worn in a bun.
