We require a minimum of 4 years of classes, to have attained at least Gold Medal and usually Gold Star standard, an absolute minimum of 2 ballet classes and conditioning each week.
You must demonstrate a physical maturity (your bones age at the same rate - regardless of your level of dancing), you must pass a number of strength and balance tests, you must be injury free and you must complete the pre-pointe program.
At Dancehouse we encourage our dancers to be happy, joyful and creative by providing a safe, positive learning environment.
We offer classes in Classical Ballet, Contemporary Dance, Jazz, Tap, Musical Theatre and Circus. For our youngest dancers, we have the excellent Ready Set Dance, Ready Set ballet and Little Monkeys programs which promote the 3 C's - of Confidence, Coordination and Creativity.
All students are trained using the Royal Academy of Dance syllabus which includes character. All graded and vocational graded levels are taught.
Our Dance TST class is packed full of strength, flexibility and technique exercises, as well as learning all of the skills and tricks that are combined into a dance routine!
This class is for advanced ballet students only where they will work on strength and technique for preparing to move onto Pointe.
In Charemaine's ballet classes kids develop technique while still being creative and enjoying a variety of movement. They will be nurtured in a non-competitive atmosphere and appreciated for their individuality
