Pointe / Pre-pointe is a class where the ballet dancers supports all of their body weight on the tips of fully pointed feet (wearing special shoes).

Dancing en pointe makes the dancer appear weightless and is done by wearing special pointe shoes.

Students are recommended for pointe based on age and ability.  Dancers must be in a minimum of 2 ballet classes a week to qualify for dancing en pointe.

There is no recital for pointe classes.  Dancers wishing to pursue pointe classes should set up a meeting with the Director to discuss their progress and confirm they on track to meet their goals.

  • Natalie’s training in dance began at the young age of two. Although Natalie grew up learning dance through various studios most of her competitive days were spent at Stars Academy in Burlington. After graduating from Aldershot high school, Natalie pursued her post-secondary education at George Brown College studying Dance, Vocals and Acting in the Commercial Dance Studies Program. Upon graduating, Natalie decided to take her dance education a little further completing the International Student Visa program at Broadway Dance Centre in New York City. Since, Natalie has completed two contracts abroad with Royal Caribbean International performing in a children’s stage production portraying the Character of Princess Fiona from Shrek. In 2017, Natalie choreographed a musical for her former high school which allowed her to see just how much of a passion she has for teaching. Natalie has spent the past three years pursuing both a career as a Professional Dancer in Toronto working for all female Hip Hop, Heels, Jazz and Showgirl companies as well as a career as a Dance teacher teaching for multiple companies such as In The Mix programs, YMCA day camps, the Great Big Theatre Company and Brightpath Kids. Natalie is ecstatic to be joining the Not Just Another Dance Studio family and looks forward to what’s to come!
