Royal Life Saving Society Lifeguard course essential modules include: accident prevention, administration, public relations, education, rescue response and basic technical operations. Aquatic Response trainers are qualified and active Pool Lifeguards.
Our courses provide expert professional training in using the latest techniques and technology and cover aquatic supervision, risk management, communication, rescue and emergency response techniques, first aid and advanced resuscitation, public relations, conflict management and incident investigation and reporting.
These are valuable skills in any work context and lifeguarding is a dynamic, in-demand profession that can open up work opportunities in a wide variety of national and international locations.
There are also opportunities for career advancement such as supervisor, duty manager, facility manager, swim teacher and trainer/assessor.
Our experienced trainers will move between the theory and practical components of the course, using the latest equipment and a range of realistic and practical scenarios to help you consolidate your learning and ensure you are skilled and confident in applying newly learned strategies and techniques.
All Royal Life Saving training is delivered in line with COVID safe requirements. Participant and trainer safety remains our number one priority.

The Royal Life Saving Pool Lifeguard Award needs to be renewed every 12 months, within 3 months of the expiry date otherwise a full course must be completed again.
Lifeguard Re-accreditation and update courses are regularly held at Tobruk Memorial Pool and Smithfield Marlin Coast Pool in Cairns
