The Port & Terminal Mooring Operations, conducted by Elite Offshore, is for anyone working at sea, or dock workers exposed to sea. Mooring is a procedure of tying a vessel alongside a fixed or floating structure or anchoring the vessel in various patterns or tying to a floating buoy, all for carrying out cargo operations, lay ups or repairs.

Mooring is undeniably a high-risk job, involving numerous hazards and potential dangers. Therefore, it is paramount for employers to prioritize thorough training to mitigate risks and ensure the well-being of their crew. Safe mooring must withstand several forces, such as wind, current, tide, and waves.

Throughout the course, participants will be immersed in the correct techniques for various aspects of mooring operations, including picking up, transferring to bollards, and letting go of mooring lines. Our experienced instructors, well-versed in the intricacies of maritime operations, will deliver comprehensive guidance on best practices and industry standards.

By understanding the risks involved, individuals can better appreciate the importance of adhering to proper procedures and safety protocols at all times. From unpredictable weather conditions to the dynamic nature of vessel movements, participants will gain insight into the myriad challenges they may encounter while performing mooring operations.
