Our main goal is communication in Portuguese, with special emphasis on speaking in the first semester and greater attention to reading and writing in the second, but all the other skills are also practiced.
All of your class sessions are conducted mainly in the target language to increase retention as well as to immerse you in the language. And best of all, there are no assessments or grades given.
We offer Portuguese classes in Boston (no Portuguese courses in Cambridge at the moment). Whereas it isn't required that you speak Spanish to take our Portuguese classes, it doesn't hurt! Instructors hail from Brazil and Europe.
In this initiation course, students learn basic Brazilian Portuguese grammar and become able to: greet people, introduce and talk about themselves, family and friends, describe their tastes, hobbies and tasks and ask a variety of questions.
