Regardless of your educational background, the Postgraduate Certificate in Engineering Project Management will provide you with the right foundations in project management concepts and applications to lead multidisciplinary engineering teams.

We additionally focus on project management practices and methodologies that are common in various non-technical industries, making your new skills applicable wherever you go. The PGCertEPM is suited for both working professionals looking for career progression into management roles or students with technical backgrounds who want an introduction into the field. It is also available to study part-time, and you can also pursue further study with our Master of Engineering Project Management.

The PGCertEPM is a 60-point taught programme. You will need to complete 30 points from the following courses:

  • ENGGEN 742 Project Management 
  • ENGGEN 731 Agile and Lean Project Management (15 points)
  • ENGGEN 740 Project Management Bodies of Knowledge (30 points)

And a further 30 points from the following courses: 

  • ENGGEN 705 Engineering Product Development 
  • ENGGEN 732 Systems Thinking & Project Business Case
  • ENGGEN 734 Engineering Contracts for Project Managers
  • ENGGEN 735 Project Management Case Studies
  • ENGGEN 737 Engineering Risk Management
  • ENGGEN 738 Work Based Learning 
  • ENGGEN 739 Cost Engineering
  • ENGGEN 741 Project, Programme and Portfolio Management (30 points)
  • ENGSCI 755 Decision Making in Engineering
