Power Line Hazards Certification Training is a legal requirement for operators of boom trucks, mobile cranes and other similar equipment. The training covers basic knowledge about electricity, electrical hazards, and safety measures when working in proximity to transition lines above and underground. It also teaches participants what to do when equipment becomes charged with an electrical current and reviews all appropriate legislative requirements.
This course will increase participants’ awareness of the dangers with working near power lines and enhance their ability to prevent injury and accidents in the workplace. This course meets the Power Line Hazards Certification Training Standard for Workplace NL.

This course complies with the occupational health and safety regulations (RSST) relating to forklift operators, or forklift drivers, and includes theoretical and practical training (article 256.3).
If machinery could unexpectedly activate or if the unexpected release of an energy source could cause injury, the energy source must be isolated and controlled.
This is a one-day program that is designed for all workers, supervisors, managers, engineers and health and safety committee members.
