Course Details

Our Powertool Safety Principles Course delivers a minimum of 4 hours of instruction and is designed to teach up to a maximum of 12 delegates. It provides training to help individuals to work safely, understand current legislation and promote awareness of the dangers and hazards of portable power tools.

The course is industry specific (construction/engineering/carpentry) and the range of power tools covered during the course can be tailored to suit your needs.

Employers must ‘ensure that all persons who use work equipment have received adequate training for the purposes of health and safety, including training in the methods which may be adopted when using work equipment, and risks which such use may entail and the precautions to be taken’ (PUWER regulation 9). There is a similar duty to ensure adequate training in relation to supervisory and managerial staff.
