As part of a new initiative to open our doors to more deserving candidates, we’ve created our special Preparatory (PREP) Program.
This one semester program will give you the opportunity to explore key subjects in Fashion Design & Garment Construction.
After completion of this program, the successful candidate will be given the option of accepting admission into Le Fashion Lab’s 1-yr or 2-yr certificate program. This is a great opportunity to practice and get prepared for the more intense 1-yr or 2-yr program!

Founded in August 2009, Le Fashion Lab is a fashion-design school specializing in preparing emerging designers to build their fashion businesses from the ground up.
Our exclusive 1, 1.5 and 2-year programs are specially curated and streamlined to offer our students all the design, technical and business skills needed to launch their fashion brands.
This appointment is for 1 hour of instructional lessons with Ellie. You can also use this time as a private beginners lesson.
If you're ready to dive right in, this 4 week workshop will teach you all the basics of sewing. Learn to thread your machine, work basic stitches and get familiar with the sewing room and all of it's equipment.
Now is the time to finish all of those tops that have been piling up! Learn techniques like stitch in the ditch, free motion, and how to use your walking foot. If you have a Bernina with a BSR (Bernina Stitch Regulator) we will introduce you to that as well.
This course for students to learn how to create a pattern based on body measurements. Final Project: Vest, Pants, Jacket, Skirt, Dress and Coat
Learn the parts of your sewing machine along with sewing terms as you thread your machine, wind a bobbin, and more while sewing a little project. Find out how and when to adjust machine tension, change needles, and trouble shoot common sewing problems.
