Preparatory Course For CIMA Diploma in Management Accounting

The objective of this course is to prepare students with adequate basis for assuring society that those students who are admitted to membership are competent to act as management accountants for entities, whether in manufacturing, commercial or service organizations, in the public or private sectors of the economy.

 
Learning Outcome:

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:

• discuss the different types of structure that an organisation may adopt.
• discuss the purpose of the finance function and its relationships with other parts of the organisation.
• discuss costing methods and their results.
• explain the purposes of forecasts, plans and budgets.
• explain the need for and the process of regulating the financial reporting information of incorporated entities.
• explain the main elements of and key principles underpinning financial statements prepared in accordance with international financial reporting standards.

Admission Requirements:

The minimum entry requirement is either one of the following criteria:

• Students who have completed CITECH Diploma in Accounting and Finance
• Students who have completed the CIMA Certificate in Business Accounting
• Students who have completed a relevant diploma or degree.
• Other qualifications will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
