Overview
This course teaches the skills and knowledge required to work safely in the construction industry. Key Learning Outcomes Identify health and safety legislative requirements of construction work.
Identify construction hazards and risk control measures. Identify health and safety communication and reporting processes. Identify incident and emergency response procedures.
The simulated assessment environments will reflect the real-life working environment where these skills and knowledge would be performed, with all the relevant equipment and resources of that working environment.
Skills must be demonstrated by the student working individually in an environment that provides realistic in-depth, industry-validated scenarios and simulations to assess students’ skills and knowledge. You will be observed and assessed physically demonstrating correctly fitting PPE:

On successful completion of this course, students will be eligible for a Statement of Attainment (SOA) for:
CPCCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry An SOA will be issued by Safety Corp Pty Ltd within 30 days of completion of the course, provided all USI, fees and charges have been Finalised. The units of competency listed above are current on the National Register of VET at the time of publication.
Course Requirements All students are required to provide 100 points of identification and complete an Evidence of Identify (EOI) form prior to commencing the course. Foundation skills are the underpinning skills required for participation in the workplace, the community and in adult education and training.
