DurationOur Preschool ballet dance classes are designed for Pre-Kindy (2–3yrs) and Kindy (4–5yrs) aged dancers. Classes are divided into age groups to accommodate different age capabilities.

Your child will learn classical steps but the emphasis is on exploring movement, gaining self-confidence and learning to listen to music and follow directions. Children also learn to work within a group, share and take turns. Various basic learning concepts are incorporated into short dances that follow a theme each term as well as role play.

Dance Classique has a strong team of classical ballet teachers that offer RAD classical ballet training for all levels and experience. Dance Classique also offers specialty body conditioning and Pilates classes to assist with classical ballet training.
Classical ballet training is essential to any dancer’s training and provides the dancer with a highly developed dance technique, core strength, and poise. All of our classical ballet classes will follow the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) Syllabus, and students will be given the option to undergo examinations midway through the year to be properly accredited in their respective grades.
Examinations are entirely optional (and will incur extra costs) but we highly recommend them for students who wish to excel in dance or wish to gain a future career in the profession.
It is great way to introduce a child to dance giving the child the feeling of security by having the parent at his or her side and allows the parent to learn a little about dance so they can assist at home.
From walking age until 2 years, this class is for children and a parent/guardian to participate in together. Ribbons, dots, teddy bears and songs are all incorporated for a fun movement activity.
