Starting with the End in Mind: PSLE Science
Our ultimate aim is to prepare the student for PSLE. Therefore, all components of PSLE Science will eventually be covered.
The PSLE Science exams have become application based over time. To score well, the student has to go beyond pure memorisation of scientific facts.
Since 2014, the PSLE Science syllabus has stressed on the application of science in daily life through so called “higher order thinking skills“.
Science in the Real World
Through experience, we have found that most students cannot relate what they learned in Science to the real world. A most memorable example was given by asking the students what the plant below was.
