Private Lessons are an opportunity to work one-on-one with one of our educators to develop your skills in a personalized way. Whether you’re interested in understanding the basics of sewing or looking to start designing your first collection, we are here to help.
We have worked with all materials and projects from bridal to backpacks. We can even bring in specialty instructors for projects like special effects make up and hand sewn wigs.
Private Lessons are available for adults as well as children ages 9 and up. All levels are encouraged!
These classes can be scheduled according to your needs and follow a path that we will build up together in order to help you accomplish your sewing goals.
For students and clients with ambitious projects or goals, we offer a complimentary half hour consultation before beginning Private Lessons so that you can map out and customize your curriculum.
If you have little experience (or none at all) we typically start with a beginner level tote bag to get you comfortable with working on a sewing machine. From there, your opportunities are endless!
We are OPEN for private lessons up to three people in a household or pod. We are also hosting larger groups for baby showers, corporate outings, birthday parties etc. We travel for in-home lessons, pop-up after school programming, television/film set training etc.

Learn about sewing safety and how to keep yourself safe while using a sewing machine. Learn how to thread a sewing machine and wind a bobbin. We also cover how to change a needle and what thread to use.
In this workshop, we'll discuss basic mending techniques and materials. We'll look at lots of examples and help you come up with a plan for your own visible mend.  Please bring with you a piece of clothing or textile that needs to be mended so you can get started with us!Â
