Professional Body Massage Training

A professionally qualified body massage treatment is an opportunity for you to give your client a relaxing and enjoyable treatment designed to encourage a feeling of wellbeing.

This course is often used as a 'starter' for massage therapists, as it conforms to the Western spa standard that typically offers Swedish Massage. Once you've mastered this highly marketable and popular therapy, should you wish to expand your portfolio, you can then go on to learn how to use pre-blended essential oils to enhance the benefits of the massage treatment for certain conditions using aromatherapy, how to your own blend your own oils, how to use Massage Tools, application of Hot Stone Massage Therapy, Reflexology, Reiki, Ear Candling, Thai Yoga Massage, Indian Head Massage and many more holistic therapy treatments.

This Guild Training International (GTi) course is taught by experienced therapist Steve. The course includes certification to practice through accreditation and insurance provided by the Guild Of Beauty Therapists awarding body. Guild student insurance is included for the duration of the course, plus a discounted price on Guild membership is available through al Covo on completion.

The theory is delivered and examined online with all the required resources available and online tutorial support when you need it.

The Body Massage course follows HABIA's National Occupational Standards and covers reception, consultation and ventilation. If also covers anatomy and physiology, contra-indications and contra-actions, skin conditions, preparing for treatment, massage techniques and a full body massage routine.

The course includes the Professional Standards course for students who have not previously completed this course.
