Course Details

This course provides an introduction to computer programming for Technology and Engineering disciplines. The language is C++ which is a "real world" language heavily used in games, real-time applications and the control of devices.

The course guides students through all the steps needed to write, compile and debug simple C++ programs with lots of practical examples. No previous programming experience is required.

 

 

Learning Outcomes:

  • 1Define variables and perform input/output operations.

  • 2Control program flow with conditional and iteration statements.

  • 3Design programs incorporating basic data structures.

  • 4Construct suitable Graphical User Interfaces and generate beginner-level graphics.

  • 5Write, compile and debug C++ programs.
