PMP® stands for Project Management Professional. The Project Management Professional certification is a globally reputed and recognized certification in the field of project management. PMP® is the most important industry-recognized certification for project managers.
PMP credential certification is offered by the Project Management Institute (PMI), which is the world's leading association of project management professionals established in 1969 and has headquarters in Pennsylvania, USA.
The PMP® certification scheme is accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) against the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 17024. (PMBK 6th Edition)
Further, career opportunities will knock as the need for project talent continues to grow. Research indicates that employers will need to fill “nearly 2.2 million new project-oriented roles each year through 2027.”. This means skilled project managers will be in high demand heading into the new decade.
Why PMP?
Now, wherever you are in your career, the globally recognized Project Management Professional (PMP) certification tells employers, peers, and the world you know what you’re doing in project management.
Even if “project manager” isn’t part of your title, the PMP applies to anyone who helps bring a project to completion. Just like a CPA validates expertise for accountants, the PMP recognizes your ability to manage projects and the extraordinary work you’ve done so far.
How does PMP certification enhance your career?
As the demand for skilled project managers is at a critically urgent level, practitioners who hold the PMP certification are well-positioned to provide the professional skills necessary to lead project teams and achieve successful project results.
You can find PMPs leading projects in nearly every country, and unlike other certifications that focus on a particular geography or domain, the PMP® is truly global.
As a PMP, you can work in virtually any industry, with any methodology, and in any location.
The PMP can also provide a significant advantage when it comes to salary and earning potential. Among survey respondents to PMI’s Earning Power Salary Survey, those with a PMP certification garner a higher salary (25% higher on average) than those without a PMP certification.
Employers benefit as well. When more than one-third of their project managers are PMP-certified, organizations complete more of their projects on time, on budget, and meeting original goals. (Pulse of the Profession® study, PMI, 2015.)

PMP Preparatory Training
Effective January 2, 2021, PMI has introduced an updated exam format. PMI stated in its May 2020 Update of the PMP Exam Outline that the research conducted through the Job Task Analysis validated that today’s project management practitioners work in a variety of project environments and utilize different project approaches. Accordingly, the PMP certification will be reflective of this and will incorporate approaches across the value delivery spectrum.
The following table identifies the proportion of questions from each domain that will appear on the examination. Notice that the new exam format is quite different from the previous exam format, which was focused on the traditional management processes of initiating, planning, executing, monitoring and controlling, and closing.
Therefore, we provide training and guidance according to the above domains to ensure that our students are clear about the exam content, strategies, and domains. During the training, our expert and certified trainers will also share various exercises, tips, tricks, and methods on how to tackle each sort of question.

What is changing in PMBOK Guide, Seventh Edition?
The PMBOK® 7th guide itself is still undergoing review and changes. The expected release date will depend on PMI.
Principle vs Process-Based Project Management
The PMBOK 7th version moves away from a process-oriented approach to a principles-oriented (outcome-oriented) approach. The PMBOK knowledge areas are current and previous PMBOKs, and each knowledge area has processes, inputs, tools, techniques, and outputs. These processes will not be available in PMBOK 7th Edition. There will be principles that are generally accepted and practiced in project management. The idea seems to be more action-focused or practitioner-friendly. The new PMBOK will focus on outcomes rather than deliverables.
