Teaching and developing early childhood educators (ECE’s) is a challenging task in the current adult education landscape. The nationally endorsed training package has struggled to balance acquiring ‘knowledge’ and ‘practical application’ of skills.
Students learn about theories and practices (pedagogy) through a structured ‘left brain’ process of workbooks and classes followed by 240 hours of practical placement. Some workplace experiences are creative and inspiring and some are not. Many adult learning institutions simply teach the test.
Provide First Aid (Release 1) course is offered by Access Australia Group.
We have all done hours of First Aid training. We know how to respond to critical incidents with students, but how do we act as first-responder to our wellbeing
We have exceptional infection control measures in place and have been advised by a senior member of NSW Public Health and a medical specialist on these policies that we have in place.
This course is aimed towards educators and support staff working within an education and care setting who are required to respond to first aid emergencies, including asthmatic and anaphylactic emergencies, involving infants, children and adults.
Axial’s First Aid Training focuses on providing immediate care to sick or injured patients until full medical help is available. In the time it takes for more advanced care to arrive, first aid aims to prevent medical conditions from deteriorating, help relieve pain, and provide reassurance.
