This course provides introduction to the scientific analysis of behaviour and mental activity from the biological, social and individual perspectives.
Major topics include: perception, motivation, learning, memory, intelligence, personality, states of consciousness, social interaction, developmental processes, hereditary and environmental influences, abnormal psychology and therapeutic methods.
Students will participate directly or indirectly in the department’s ongoing research program.
After the acupuncture and herbal students graduate, they will take the National Exam, Pan – Canadian examination. This examination is set up by five regulatory provinces. (BC, AB, ON, NF, QC).
When students pass the national exam “Pan – Canadian examination”, they receive acupuncture license or herbal license, they can practice in the above five regulatory provinces and non regulatory provinces of Canada.
In Manitoba: Massage Therapy Association of Manitoba (MTAM), recognized our school massage therapy program, see website www.mtam.mb.ca.
The Massage therapy students that graduate will be able to register and be a member of MTAM. In Manitoba all private insurance companies will cover members of MTAM practice. Eg: Blue Cross, Great West Life, Manu Life and so on.
