The PTE Academic exam may be a computer-based English test accepted by educational institutions around the world. Those students and aspirants who desire to travel abroad to study or immigrate to a serious English-speaking country are required to take the PTE Academic exam to prove their English competency. 

The three-hour-long computer-based test focuses on day-to-day English instead of high-level English and tests a student on his/her ability to effectively understand the language as spoken daily. The multi-level grading system ensures a far better understanding of the student’s proficiency in English.

Eligibility

PTE Academic Exam Eligibility Criteria 2021 Pearson PLC Group, the conducting body of the Pearson PTE Academic Exam, has not set any specific eligibility criteria for candidates looking to appear for the PTE Academic Exam.

However, as a general rule, candidates looking to appear for the PTE Academic exam are required to be a minimum of 16 years old at the time of appearing for the PTE Academic test. Also, candidates who are under 18 years old have to possess a parental consent form for taking the PTE Academic test.

Exam Format

• Part 1: Speaking & Writing (77 – 93 minutes).
• Part 2: Reading (32 – 40 minutes).
• Part 3: Listening (45 – 57 minutes).
