Potchefstroom Academy, a Higher Educational provider, was established in 1981 by the founder, Tina Scholtz. The Academy has since grown into one of the leading private tertiary institutions of its kind offering Photography, Interior Design and Decorating, Somatology (Beauty Therapy), Therapeutic Massage, Therapeutic Aromatherapy, and Therapeutic Reflexology.

In 2003, SAAHST, a Technical and Vocational Education and Training institution who provides expert training in Hairdressing, Business Management Studies, Cosmetology and Nail Technology was acquired. SAAHST also offers a variety of career-focused short courses that are specifically targeted at updating and extending your skills.

In addition, SAAHST is an accredited National Artisan Moderation Body’s (NAMB) Trade Test Centre for Hairdressing.

Potchefstroom Academy, SAAHST and its staff have been nominated and received numerous awards affirming its reputation of excellence gained over almost 40 years.
