Who is this course for?
This first aid training qualification is for those that are interested in, or are required to attend annual CPR training in basic life support.
While some learners may be interested in undertaking this qualification for personal development, those working in a GP or dentist surgery may attend to meet industry requirements.
This First Aid Training Course qualification includes the use of a AED and is alligned to the current UK resuscitation guidelines.
Pre-Requisites:
This qualification is available to those over 14 years. Due to the language of the assessment, it is recommended that learners have sufficient command of the English language in order to understand the assessment and to undertake the recommended assessment methods.
Attendees will be required to demonstrate first aid procedures as they would in a real work environment. This includes providing CPR to a casualty who is on the floor, therefore be physically capable of doing so.
Progression route: Learners may progress onto the following qualifications:
QNUK Level 3 Award in First aid at Work (RQF)
QNUK Level 3 Award in Responding to Incidents with an AED (RQF)

Be able to assess an incident
Be able to provide first aid to an unresponsive and breathing casualty
To be able to provide first aid to a casualty who is unconscious and not breathing
To provide first aid to a casualty who is choking
To be able to use an AED

Whilst in the Army Martin spent significant time on the Medical Emergency Response Team (MERT) and it was during this time that he found his passion for dealing with emergencies and injuries.
This was an ideal starting point for Martin that led him to First Aid Training ever since. Martin delivers CPR and First Aid training in a fun, friendly way that engages all the course delegates and makes them feel at ease.
This qualification is suitable for individuals working in a wide variety of industries and employment situations, including voluntary or community activities and who are required to be trained in the use of an AED as per the HSE recommendation.
