Disabled Living is a registered charity which was established in 1897. We are a leading organisation which provide impartial information and advice about equipment and services for disabled individuals, their families and carers.

In addition, we have a range of resources to support our specialist teams. We also work closely with the commercial sector to showcase equipment designed for those with disabilities and additional needs.

As a truly independent third sector organisation, we very much have a national overview of service and equipment provision. We are a forward thinking organisation and are quick to respond to the continually changing health and social care landscape.

Our service developments are not hindered by the ‘red tape’ of so many statutory and larger third sector organisations. As a result, our team can respond quickly to a change in direction to ensure we remain current and sustainable.

We are comprised of different teams to help provide an all-encompassing service. This includes Bladder & Bowel UK, Redbank House, Kidz to Adultz Exhibitions, Training, and Equipz.

To be the leading voluntary organisation providing advice and information about assistive technology (equipment and products) to help disabled and older people make more informed choices which, as a result, enables easier, safer and more independent living.

To work for a society where disabled people, their families and carers can achieve optimum independence and self determination.

Debra Evans is the Chief Executive and has a vast range of networks within the disability and assistive technology market. In addition, Debra is supported and advised by a Management Board of Trustees who have a wealth of experience in the health and social care, disability and commercial arenas. This helps to ensure the charity remains financially sustainable.
