QA/QC introduction - developmental history and basic theories: current quality management approaches organizational planning - risk assessment Quality Function Deployment (CFD) and organizational direction; QA/QC functional/operational tools; and quality improvement and resilient strategies.

This is also to gather feedback from participant's experience of the User Friendliness and User Interface of the System. Other than that we also hoping to gather participant's wishlist on what features or modules that they wish to be included to help them to ease up their daily operations.

ID23 Smart Data Analysis (SDA) is a web-based data analytics system that is currently being designed to help Malaysian food processors to analyse data to help in food safety monitoring by periodic trending of the lab test results of food items (raw materials / finished goods) and environmental samples (e.g. machines/floor swabs). This trending function is the first one of the system to be available upon its launch, while other related functions such as team task management, etc. is being established.
ID23 SDA is part of the ID23 Smart Hub that aspires to be a comprehensive web platform for the food industry to manage food safety and quality related activities, some of it are namely a cloubo based library, gathering of R&D QA/QC/ Engineering / etc. professionals, training and consultancy, and product reviews.

ID23 SDA is designed and owned by Everest 23 Professional Solutions Sdn Bhd, a consultancy firm based in Shah Alam. Everest 23 serves the food and pharmaceutical manufacturers and related businesses.

The Malaysian Institute of Food Technology is a non-profit professional body of food technologists and educators in the field of food science and technology, and other individuals involved in areas of work closely related to food technology.

Who are mift members?

Founded in 1974, the MIFT has grown to over 1000 members. The majority are Professional Members who are managers, food scientists and technologists in the food industry, researchers in government and private institutions, educators in universities and colleges.
Many of them are trained in food science and technology or related disciplines such as chemistry, engineering, agriculture, microbiology, biochemistry and have relevant experiences in their application to food.
For those individuals who do not have relevant training and experience but are involved in the food industry, we offer them participation in the activities of MIFT as Associate Members.

Mr. S.R. Chandraprasad has about 18 years of experience in the Food and Pharmaceutical Industry in both plant and laboratory setting, including business management and professional technical support for microbiological laboratory consumables. He was also involved in sanitation validations and hygiene management systems, food safety for hospital food, as well as other non-clinical applications involving microbial detection. Trained in a wide spectrum of Food Safety systems and manufacturing standards, he has profound understanding of the industry's needs and anomalies, laboratory work-flows and set-ups as well as the latest microbiological tests and methods. A unique speaker and coupled with capabilities in effective and fit-for-purpose services, he has actively designed, delivered and given more than 30 major trainings, talks and workshops to date.
