Calico Station Quilt Shop is a Baby Lock sewing machine dealership. Owner, Jennifer Brannon and the Staff at Calico Station will help you piece together all the steps in creating your projects, beginning with being an authorized dealer for Baby Lock Sewing, Quilting and Embroidery Machines.
We carry a complete line of sewing machines, accessories and software to start you on your path to create those loving projects for friends, family and yourself. We have a trained staff to guide and assist you so you can easily use your machine to its fullest capacity.
Students will learn: knit stitch, purl stitch, cast on, bind off, knitted ribbing, seed stitch, and methods to increase and decrease stitches. They will use these skills to make simple fingerless mitts. This class is for anyone who has never knitted or wants a refresher on basic skills.
Learn to cast on your stitches, including a slip-knot using the long-tail cast-on method. Then progress onto the knit stitch to begin adding length to your first project!
Come meet other crafters and learn from our talented teachers in a bright and comfortable setting. We offer a full schedule of knitting classes! Classes are limited to 8 students and are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. All classes take place in our shop at 1914 South Street.Â
In this 2 session introductory class we’ll cover the basics: the knit and purl stitches, cast-on, and how to finish off a knitted piece with the bind-off. This class will give you a solid foundation for knitting your first project
