Back by popular demand: learn to knit a basket using giant yarn! In this workshop you'll be working with a big ball of felted wool and huge needles. We’ll be knitting our baskets from pure New Zealand wool yarn that’s hand-felted by women artisans in Kathmandu, Nepal.
Two Session Class with Reena Brooks to learn to knit Continental or English. This is also a good refresher class for people that "used to knit way back in the day". Materials required, not included with class price; Worsted weight yarn and size 8 straight knitting needles.
If you love knitwear, knitting and learning new skills, you'll love this workshop! You'll learn the basics of knitting on a flatbed hobby knitting machine provided by the instructor and will make three or more projects during this six-week workshop.
Our classes are designed to introduce you to the basics of quilting by the quilters teaching the classes. From rotary cutting, pressing and block and quilt assembly!
This class is for students who already know how to cast on and the knit stitch but would like to advance to knitting in the round and make a hat. Perfect for the upcoming season!
