The Real Estate B.B.A. has a 40-year track record of preparing graduates for opportunities in all areas of Real Estate including commercial and residential brokerage, leasing, residential property management, appraisal, investments, and mortgage/finance.
UNT is one of the few universities in Texas that offers an undergraduate degree program in Real Estate. In the Department of Finance, Insurance, Real Estate and Law (FIREL), we graduate experts who rent, buy and sell properties for clients or themselves, as well as:
Accompany clients to potential property sites
Prepare real estate contracts and work with many related experts
Calculate prospective rates of return
Manage commercial or residential properties
The program is supported by a strong UNT Real Estate Alumni Group which contributes time, mentoring, internships and scholarships. An active Student Real Estate Club, one of the largest clubs on the UNT campus, organizes guest speakers, field trips and fun activities.
As a part of the B.B.A. in Real Estate, students learn:
How to read, understand and negotiate contracts
How to prepare a Competitive Market Analysis CMA (all property types)
Investment Analysis and 11 rates of return for income properties
Property management and management plans
Property Valuation and Real Estate Law
The University of North Texas has opened Frisco Landing, the first building on the UNT at Frisco campus. This state-of-the-art building was designed with a focus on student success.
And offers classrooms and study spaces to promote collaboration, transparency and open communication between the faculty and students.
As a branch campus of UNT, the accreditation status of UNT at Frisco is dependent on the continued accreditation of University of North Texas.
