Reggaeton music originated in Panama in the 1980s. By the 1990s it had spread to Puerto Rico, where the youth now claim Reggaeton as a musical genre of their own. Reggaeton music has a mixture of Jamaican and Latin American influences, blended with Hip Hop and Electronica beats.
Kokoloco was formed in 2004 and has rapidly grown into Canberra’s premier Latin studio. Classes for all ages and levels, professional shows & events.

We specialise in partner dances such as Salsa, Cha-Cha, Bachata and wedding dance choreography, plus solo styles including Salsa, Bachata, Samba, Brazilian Funk, Reggaeton, Heels, Zumba and Aqua Zumba.

Reggaeton Lessons are offered by Salsa Connection Dance Studio. We believe that no matter the shape or form of dance, dancing itself should not just be about steps to music - it should be lived, loved, breathed and enjoyed.
There is a deep history rooted behind Reggaeton that shapes the way it is danced and interpreted. Originated in the clubs of Puerto Rico, Reggaeton carries influences from Hip Hop, Latin American and Caribbean music.
If you want to burn calories Reggae-tone is the optimal mix of dance, strength, cardio, and core training. Have fun enjoying and learning Reggaeton, a mix of street latin rhythms all while working out. Class is open for non-dancers and more advanced dancers wanting to cross train.
