Introduction:
Reiki is a powerful tool for healing and spiritual growth. Reiki is the channelling of universal energy through the hands of the practitioner to boost the life force energy of the recipient. It is a gentle, effective form of natural, hands-on healing to restore and maintain health and harmony to all levels of our being – physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. It is a safe, non-invasive, non-denominational form of healing.
Reiki Level 1 enables you to perform self-healing. You can also use it on family and friends but you cannot work professionally at this level. Reiki 1 is a pre-requisite for taking Reiki Level 2 but there is no obligation to go on to take the higher levels of Reiki.
Course Details:
There are no pre-requisites to taking Reiki Level 1.

Reiki is the name given to a system of natural healing which evolved in Japan from the experience and dedication of Dr Mikao Usui (d. 1926). Fired by a burning question, Dr Usui was inspired to develop this healing system from ancient teachings after many years of study, research and meditation.
Our teaching style is one of team teaching. The course will be run by Cindy Holmes and other South African tutors. During the course, each student is expected to hold or gain a basic qualification in anatomy and physiology.
Reiki (pronounced Ray-key) is a life energy transmitted through a Reiki practitioner. Reiki is often used as an emotional or spiritual cleansing and healing treatment, to relieve pain, suffering, trauma and depression.
You will learn about the history of Reiki, about the Reiki precepts and you will also learn the Reiki hand positions and how to use Reiki to treat yourself.
