Remote Pilot Certificate of Competency (RCoC)

The remote pilot certificate of competency (rcoc) is a pilot competency certificate that satisfies the requirements within the specific category. The rcoc-b certificate satisfies the competency requirements of a published pre-defined risk assessment (pdra) or a standard scenario (sts) that involves vlos flights. 

RCoC-B can also be paired with additional modules such as Module 1 (EVLOS) and Module 2 (Agriculture).

What is a Remote Pilot Certification?

• In order to fly a drone under MCAR 2016 Regulation 140-144, all drone operators must obtain a remote pilot certificate from CAAM through the aid of an approved Remote Pilot Training Organization (RPTO).
