Course Details

This course provides students with the required skills and knowledge to remove Non - Friable (bonded) asbestos in line with the WH&S Regs 2021 and Code of practice. Under the new WH&S Regs 2021 you must have completed this course to work on a non - friable asbestos (bonded) removal site.

This training is nationally recognised, unlike the old Queensland B Class Licence. All QLD B Class licence's expired on the 31 December 2014 regardless of the expiry date shown on the card. Workers required to remove ten square metres or more of bonded asbestos are legally required to hold a competency in asbestos removal.

 

Learning Out Comes In This Course Include:

  •  Health risks associated with asbestos and asbestos removal.

  •  Prepare for asbestos removal.

  •  Prepare asbestos removal area and removal site.

  •  Isolate removal site.

  •  Carry out asbestos removal process.

  •  Carry out decontamination process.

  •  Clean Up work Site

  •  Contribute to and use documentaion in line with regulatory requirements.


Certificates of competency are issued immediately on successful completion of the course.
 

Requirements:

  • Students must hold a construction White Card

  • Provide photo I.D

  • Minimum of year 9 level literacy and communication skills.
